Walk for Hope FAQs

The Basics

What is Walk for Hope?

Walk for Hope is the signature event of the Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Patients, families and friends will meet at Citizens Bank Park for a 5K run/2K walk to honor IBD fighters, celebrate the innovative research at CHOP and participate in family-fun activities including crafts, character appearances, games, a basket sweepstakes and silent auction.

How Does it Work?

  • Register: Start your team or join a team by visiting the Walk for Hope registration page.
  • Get set: Once you’ve signed up, you can personalize your fundraising page. Participants with custom pages raise twice as much as those with the standard text!
  • Recruit your squad: Gather your friends, family, neighbors – anyone that you want to support your efforts.
  • Raise funds: Dollars raised through Walk for Hope fund breakthroughs in IBD research and care for children at CHOP. Fundraising is open until Friday, June 30, 2023.
  • Celebrate: Join us on Sunday, April 16, at Citizens Bank Park to celebrate you, your team and the IBD patients we fight for every day!
