Thank you for Walking for Hope!

After two years of virtual events, our 13th Annual Walk for Hope was back in-person – and was a huge success! The event drew more than 70 teams, hundreds of participants and raised more than $163,517 to fuel vital inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Because of your dedication, we are closer than ever to a cure for IBD!

Thank you to our runners, walkers, sponsors, donors and supporters who joined us Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for our 5K run, 2K walk and fun activities for the whole family! It was a great day to race, take a stroll, bid on auction items, a chance on basket items and learn about the 40+ life changing IBD research studies taking place at CHOP.

Why Walk?

Because breakthroughs can’t wait. With your help, we can continue transformative research for children with IBD. See what Walk for Hope has supported.

IBD FRC logoHosted By The IBD Family Research Council

The IBD Family Research Council (FRC) was founded in 2006 as a group of grateful families with the mission of raising funds for IBD research at CHOP. Walk for Hope was created by the FRC in 2009 and has become the group’s annual fundraising event. It is the only major event in the greater Philadelphia area directly supporting pediatric IBD research.
