THE (IN-PERSON) 2020 WALK FOR HOPE IS NOW VIRTUAL
In light of CHOP guidelines designed to reduce the potential for unnecessary exposure of our communities to COVID-19, the 2020 Walk for Hope will be a virtual event.
On Sunday, April 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. EST, CHOP will be hosting a short online program to kick off the Virtual Walk for Hope. Dr. Robert Baldassano, Director of CHOP’s Center for Pediatric IBD, will be our special guest. We will show a video highlighting teams (that’s you!) and even have a little group warm-up.
Once the program concludes, we ask all families to get outside and walk (weather permitting). We encourage you to go live via social media, take photos, video your IBD fighter and use the hashtag #CHOPWalkforHope.
Details on how to join will be sent to all participants before the event.
If you’re not already registered, sign up today to become a virtual participant!
Hosted by: the IBD Family Research Council
The IBD Family Research Council (FRC) was founded in 2006 as a group of grateful families with the mission of raising funds for IBD research at CHOP. Walk for Hope was created by the FRC in 2009 and has become the group’s annual fundraising event. It is the only major event in the greater Philadelphia area directly supporting pediatric IBD research.
Our Fundraising Goal: $200,000
